What inspired you to create MovementHolic and Motherhood in Motion, and how do your recovery programs reflect a holistic approach to health and wellbeing?
After becoming a mother myself, I realised how limited postnatal support truly was, especially in the UK. Even as a physiotherapist, I found the lack of guidance shocking. That’s what inspired me to specialise in women’s health and create Motherhood in Motion and MovementHolic: spaces where women can learn, move, and heal through a truly holistic approach that integrates movement, nutrition, and lifestyle balance.

You often say that “humans are designed to move and find joy in it.” How does this belief influence the way you design your physiotherapy and postnatal recovery programs?
Movement is our natural state. Every programme I create is built on helping people rediscover that joy, moving not just to exercise, but to connect, release tension, and feel alive again. When movement becomes intuitive and enjoyable, healing follows. Physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Many mothers struggle with issues like diastasis recti, pelvic floor weakness, and fatigue. How does your step-by-step process help women recover and regain confidence in their bodies?
Every woman’s journey is unique, so recovery must be gradual and personalised. I rebuild from the foundation up, helping women reconnect with their core, posture, and breath. By understanding their individual anatomy and rhythm, recovery becomes empowering and sustainable.

What makes your approach to postnatal rehabilitation different from traditional physiotherapy or fitness programs?
My approach merges musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy with women’s health expertise, a rare blend. We train the body as a whole, addressing strength, pelvic health, and lifestyle factors like sleep and nutrition. The result is full-body recovery, strong, functional, and confident movement.
How do you help clients reconnect with their bodies to restore natural alignment, balance, and strength?
Through detailed assessments, movement testing, and education. I teach women how to truly understand their bodies, how the pelvic floor, breath, and alignment work together. It’s not about dependence; it’s about empowering them to move freely and confidently for life.
Can you share a success story from a patient who transformed their wellbeing through your holistic movement methods?
Georgia, a 42-year-old mother of three, once considered surgery for her diastasis and pelvic floor issues. Within six months of personalised work, she regained strength, healed naturally, and is now training in calisthenics, feeling stronger than ever, even pre-pregnancy.
You emphasise listening and understanding each patient’s unique needs. How important is this individualised approach to achieving long-term results?
Personalisation is everything. Without it, people feel lost or give up. A tailored plan, combined with accountability and support, ensures progress is consistent and lasting, helping women build knowledge, confidence, and results that endure.
For someone new to holistic physiotherapy, what’s one simple movement or mindset shift they can start practising today to feel stronger and more energised?
Stop waiting for the perfect moment, just start. Move daily, even in short bursts, and don’t be afraid to lift heavier. Women often underestimate their strength. Consistency, not perfection, creates transformation and you are far stronger than you think.
