Debbie & Billi Currie run a successful Independent Hair Salon in the heart of Marylebone London where they have a team of highly skilled Stylists who are trained to look after the salon clients, work on Photo shoots & educate groups of students who want to be trained by The Billi Currie Team.
Debbie has educated in Korea, Japan & many other countries, performing on stage to audiences hungry for her distinctive style of hairdressing. Debbie also travels widely in the UK to mentor salons and individuals.
Billi’s career has taken him all over the Globe working on fashion campaigns including international high street ad campaigns, fashion spreads for Vogue,
Tatler, Times magazine and Elle. In the Chiltern street Salon they have created a boutique feel a beautiful salon that teams accessibility and exclusivity in just the right measure –a place where guests feel relaxed and comfortable.
Do You Remember What Prompted You To Open Your Own Salon?
Billi, the founder wanted his Salon to create a Salon that had a strong team as well as championing the individual. A High-End Salon that has the feel and vibe of a photo studio.
What are your favourite products in hairdressing? Why are these products your favourites?
Being an Independent salon means we can work with products that align with our style of work, we love Oribe for all its unique ingredients, Evo a no-nonsense Australian brand and Authentic Beauty concept which is light and easy. All the products we use treat the hair and planet kindly, they have integrity with all ingredients used plus are recyclable, sustainable, and many vegan friendly. We are Eco warriors at Billi Currie we recycle 90% of what we use, including all the hair cut off!
Please describe a Billi Currie client?
Our guests are International as well as from the local area. We are in an incredible location in the heart of Marylebone on Chiltern Street, our guests are used to 5-star service in this area, which we always aim to deliver. Our guests say they come to us for great hair, advice on trends and product knowledge, as well as wanting to relax and be pampered.
How do you keep up with the latest trends in this industry?
Our Director, Billi, has worked in the fashion world on sessions and shows for many years. All the team understand that it is about a total look not just the hair. We look at each season’s fashion shows so we know the current trends and share this with our guests and followers on Instagram
What is your greatest strength as a hair Salon your USP?
Our Team. Our approach is like a record label managing amazing artists, we always aim to deliver excellent work in a great, happy space.
Our team is trained to a very high level, many travel the world working Internationally for guests in their homes or educating other hairdressers.
