Amany and Engy, founders of ANTY, blend heritage, individuality, and empowerment to create bespoke fine jewellery that tells personal stories and connects deeply with wearers across the globe.
Amany and Engy are visionaries who have not just built a jewellery brand, but a movement that celebrates individuality, heritage, and empowerment. As the founders of ANTY, these two remarkable women have redefined what it means to wear jewellery—not as a mere accessory but as a personal statement of identity and self-expression. They have challenged conventions and placed the wearer at the heart of every design, breathing life into pieces that tell unique stories. ANTY isn’t just jewellery; it’s a connection to culture, craftsmanship, and creativity.
What makes their journey even more inspiring is the boldness with which Amany and Engy have carved their paths in an industry traditionally dominated by men and legacy players. Their shared ability to merge personal experiences and global influences into distinctive designs is a testament to their ingenuity and rich backgrounds. From Amany’s grounding in international development and her deep understanding of eastern and western aesthetics to Engy’s dynamic allure as a model and her fearless transition into fine jewellery, both women bring an extraordinary duality to their craft. Together, they are shaping not just a brand but a legacy that resonates with beauty, resilience, and purpose.

ANTY was born from your personal journey as an immigrant and your passion for design. Can you share a specific moment or turning point when you realized this dream had to become a business?
As an immigrant arriving in the U.S. at 27, I came with a strong sense of style shaped by my Egyptian roots and global travels. I always had a distinct taste in jewelry and fashion, often designing my own pieces. While my government career kept me busy, the pandemic created a pause—just as I had moved to the U.S. and left my job. That moment gave me the space to reflect and finally ask: what if I turned my lifelong passion into something real? That’s when ANTY was born—a brand rooted in identity, heritage, and self-expression.
“Even if two people wear the same piece, it tells a different story on each of them.” – Amany and Engy
You chose “ANTY” to center the brand around the idea of “YOU.” How do you translate that concept into the customer experience, from design consultations to packaging?
Even if two people wear the same piece, it tells a different story on each of them. Style reflects who we are—our taste and how we want to be seen. That’s why we chose “ANTY,” which means “you” in Arabic. We produce most pieces in limited quantities and offer custom design services where we listen, iterate, and bring each client’s vision to life. Every bespoke order is supported by a dedicated client ambassador. Even our packaging is part of the experience—thoughtfully designed to feel personal, elegant, and made just for you.
ANTY’s identity is strongly tied to heritage, empowerment, and storytelling. How do you ensure these themes stay central as the brand grows and expands into new markets like Dubai?
At ANTY, our roots are our compass. Every collection is born from a personal or cultural narrative, with heritage and empowerment woven into the design. As we grow into new markets like Dubai, we remain intentional—partnering with retailers who value storytelling and aligning with customers who seek meaning in their jewelry. Whether through bespoke experiences, curated launches, or culturally resonant campaigns, we ensure our voice stays authentic and connected to the values that shaped us.
What has been the most rewarding or surprising response you’ve received from a customer about how ANTY jewelry made them feel seen or represented?
One of the most rewarding moments came when a client looked at a necklace and simply said, “Wow, it’s so different.” What stood out was not just the compliment—it was how deeply personal her reaction was. She said the piece made her feel incredibly special, like it truly suited her style in a way most jewelry never had. It wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about identity. She felt recognized, like the design spoke to a part of her that’s often overlooked in mainstream fashion. That moment reminded me why ANTY exists: to create jewelry that isn’t just worn, but that makes people feel understood, represented, and uniquely seen.
As sisters and co-founders, how do you balance creative disagreements or business decisions while maintaining a strong family dynamic?
Our disagreements often lead to the best outcomes because we challenge each other in a positive, constructive way. We push the limits of creativity and resilience, helping one another see the world—and opportunities—from a different angle. That tension becomes a source of growth. At the core of everything is love and deep respect. I always say Engy is like a daughter to me. For me, ANTY isn’t just a business—it’s a way to stay connected for life. It’s something that bonds us, and one day will bond our children, too. Family is everything, and this brand is an extension of that love and connection.
You’ve spoken about uplifting other women and immigrant designers through collaborations. Can you tell us about one such collaboration that especially embodies ANTY’s mission?
I’ve always been passionate about empowering women—I even worked at UN Women years ago because I deeply believe in that mission. At ANTY, we intentionally collaborate with women designers and especially welcome immigrant designers to reach out and work with us. One thing we make sure of is giving them full credit for their creations. We know how much women contribute—not just creatively but often as the backbone of their families. Fashion is still a male-dominated industry, but we’re inspired by the rise of powerful female voices and are proud to play a part in opening more doors. That’s what ANTY stands for.
